NBA have played over the past sixty years. Some have been excellent. Few have been champions. A few have become the legends. Here is the Ten Best Basketball Players.

10. Hakeem Olajuwon


Olajuwon could do absolutely anything he wanted and blocked shots at a high rate to boot. Hakeem had been two-time NBA Finals MVP and three-time NBA blocks champion. He holds 3830 NBA records.

9. Tim Duncan (1997-present)


His style of play is down to earth and simple. Two MVPs, four titles, 13 straight and all-defensive team, turn around bank shot is his Trademark Shot.  Also, he is the most appreciated player in the history of basketball.

8. Shaquille O’Neal (1992-2011)


Two scoring titles and one MVP in his career got him fourth rings. His size and strength made him a nightmare for defenses. Shaq could build a team around and win 60 games. He was an irresistible force around the basket, leading the Lakers to three titles.

7. Wilt Chamberlain (1959-73)


7 foot 1 inch Wilt was the Most Dominant Player. Seven scoring titles, 11 rebounding titles, four MVPs and a 100-point game is his achievement. He is the best players around and the unstoppable man of all time.

6. Kobe Bryant (1996-present)


Bryant is a phenomenal defender and prolific jump shooter. His confidence control of late game situations and his game winning shots are always mind blowing. Nobody can forget his 81 point game. Bryant has won five championships and one MVP Award.

5. Larry Bird (1979-92)


12-time NBA All-Star Won 3 NBA titles, 3 MVP awards, Olympic Gold.  He played his entire professional career with Boston, winning three NBA championships. He was one of the greatest shooters and most clutch player in history.  He helped put the NBA’s with his rivalry against Magic Johnson.

4. Bill Russell (1956-69)


Russell played with gretest player  Bob Cousy, Bill Sharman and Tommy Heinsohn. . He Won 11 championships in 13 seasons. He also Won 11 NBA titles, 5 MVP awards, Olympic Gold and an NCAA title at San Francisco.

3. Magic Johnson (1979-96)


Magic was the winner of 5 NBA titles, 3 MVP awards, Olympic Gold, NCAA title and High School title.  Magic Johnson was the only player who had one-upped Larry Bird during the 80s. If he did not share an era with Larry Bird, Johnson surely would have won more than five championships and three MVPs.

2. Kareem Abdul-Jabbar (1969-89)


Jabbar is a retired American professional basketball player. He played for two full decades. And he won 6 MVP awards, 6 NBA Titles. And still Owner of 38,387 points scoring record. In the 1970s, he was the best player in the league.

1. Michael Jordan (1984-2003)


He entertained the audience with his aerial exploits, i.e. awed by his charm and competitive fire and extraordinary charisma. He won six championships against Charles Barkley, John Stockton, Karl Malone, Hakeem Olajuwon, and other Hall-of-Famers. Also won five MVPs and ten scoring titles. Jordan only adjusted his game and got better. He was the ultimate leader, the final scorer, and the ultimate defender.
